New Orleans Saints: 3 players pivotal to a Super Bowl run

New Orleans Saints’ defensive secondary
This Saints’ secondary has had a roller-coaster type of year. Often, they are overshadowed by Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, or even the defensive front seven — because of how good all of them are.
However, the secondary is not a place that should be overlooked.
They have a tendency to play to their opponent, good against a good opponent and bad against bad. If they are going to be the secondary that the Super Bowl destined Saints need them to be, they are going to have to be good all the time.

Last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — even without star Marshon Lattimore — the secondary showed up big time, intercepting Winston four times and one for a touchdown. That goes to show you what the Saints secondary is capable of.
Noe the question is, “Can they keep that consistently?” If the secondary as a whole can play the game they played against the Buccaneers, against the 49ers, then the Saints will have yet another Lombardi trophy sitting on their shelf and another ring on their finger.
If all these pieces can come together, the New Orleans Saints will be nothing short of another Super Bowl win. Just a decade after their 2009 elusive victory over Indianapolis, can they make that kind of run again? Finish the season above 13-3 and win a Super Bowl?

If these fall into place, there’s no reason they can’t.
