That is the ENTIRE starting defensive eleven.
Again the New Orleans Saints surprise by having all eleven on the ballot. The defense has had no shortage of talent through the first eleven games of the season and even when injuries arise, the backups shine like starters.
The Saints’ defense has proven to be one of the best in the league, leading them to the 8-2 record that they have going into week 12.
The only negative is that Davis is listed as an outside linebacker. If you look at the timeshare he plays between positions, he plays more as an inside linebacker than he does outside. However, he does have a chance among top OLBs.
Since he is listed as an outside Davis might not make it is on the ballot with other well-known edge rushers. Sheldon Rankins is also the most surprising nomination, being the least productive Saints on the defense.
Overall, Lattimore, Williams, Bell, Davis, and Jordan will have a true claim for the final list.
