The Bad

Before you even start reading this section, you have to realize that “bad” for the New Orleans Saints is considered heaven for some other teams in the league like the Miami Dolphins. With that being said, there is not much bad that we can think about revolving around this team.

But, a weakness that always comes up in conversation is the talent of the defensive secondary.

The offensive is electric and ranked top 10 in the NFL, and the front seven of the defense is ranked as one of the best in the NFL. But, the secondary is not even top 10. That is what has led to them being the lone “bad” for the New Orleans Saints.

However, on Sunday against Tampa Bay, they sure looked to be one of the best, intercepting Jameis Winston four separate times. However, Jameis has proven to be one of the more unreliable quarterbacks in the league.

Regardless this is still a secondary that has some work to be done to it and that is why they have fallen into this category. The team is only as bad as its weakest link and for the Saints, that weakest link might be the secondary (even if they are ranked 12 in the NFL).
