Kiko Alonso

On September 1, 2019, Alonso was acquired via trade from the Miami Dolphins to the New Orleans Saints for linebacker Vince Biegel. Since then, Alonso has started two games, week 3 and week 10.

He’s since been taking a back seat to linebacker A.J. Klein.

In his second start of the season in week 10, Alonso tallied seven tackles and one QB hit in 45% of defensive snaps. In week 11, Kiko did not start but had six tackles and one pass defend on 66% of snaps.

The defense and especially the linebackers will have their work cut out for them in week 12. Carolina is coming into town and bringing NFL MVP candidate Christian McCaffrey with them. Last week, McCaffrey ran for 70 yards and caught 11 balls for 121 yards.

A dual-threat that has proven to be one of the deadliest running backs in the NFL. Demario Davis, Kiko Alonso and A.J. Klein should all be ready to show their versatility trying to tackle the potential NFL MVP.
