Latavius Murray

While Kamara was sidelined with an injury, Latavius Murray stepped in and ran circles around every team he played.

They went into the bye week and when they came out in week 11, Kamara returned as well. Most people thought that this was the end of the Latavius Murray hype train, but it did not stop there.

In week 10 against Atlanta, Murray saw five carries to Kamara’s four carries. Almost a 50-50 timeshare between the two. In week 11 against Tampa Bay, Murray ran 10 times to Kamara’s 13 times. Again, it was almost 50-50 timeshare.

With Kamara now known to be injury-prone, the Saints have learned to spell him more in-game with Murray who showed he is up to the task that Mark Ingram held with the Saints last year. The only difficulty Murray faced last week is that he only caught two balls out of the backfield while Kamara caught ten balls.

In week 12 against Carolina, look for Murray to pull out almost an equal 50-50 timeshare running the ball and balance out more of the receiving out of the backfield as well. This will allow Murray to continue to thrive in the Saints offense.
