New Orleans Saints: 3 studs, 2 duds in dominant victory over Bucs

Stud No. 1: Drew Brees
Drew Brees bounced back in a big way after a horrific week following the team’s bye week. Last week’s game against the Falcons was the first time in the Brees-Payton era that the team was held to under 10 points at home.
He made sure fans and analysts forgot about that performance against the Bucs.
A then season-low 287 yards week helped make this game so sweet. Brees, who targeted mainly Michael Thomas, threw for 228 yards. The only difference in the two weeks was the three touchdowns Brees threw for against Tampa Bay.
Brees wasn’t the most dominant quarterback of Week 11, and those days of complete dominance could be behind him. However, he used his weapons to perfection. He targeted players like Alvin Kamara and Thomas, getting them the ball in their comfort zone in order to make plays.
Brees is a future Hall of Fame quarterback, yet at the same time, he is also far past his prime. This is how Brees must be dominant, and for New Orleans, it was the exact performance the team needed.
It should also be noted that Brees was not sacked once.
