With Antonio Brown off waivers and having met with the NFL regarding discipline, is it time the New Orleans Saints pull the trigger on signing him?

Can the New Orleans Saints afford to take on Antonio Brown?

Antonio Brown has been at the forefront of almost every news headline at the beginning of the season for his crazy theatrics.

First was the Steelers issue, then the helmet, then the controversy with the Raiders GM which subsequently got him released from Oakland, then signed with New England and was released after being accused of rape.

It’s been quite a ride for Brown so far. That’s even to mention his numbers posts bashing the NFL.

After not getting any of his guaranteed money from Oakland or New England for violating terms of his contract, it left Brown as a hot mess. He later went on to “retire” from the NFL after a Twitter beef with multiple current NFL players.

He has since continued working out and has been rumored to be making a return to the NFL field, the question is “how soon will that be?”

After meeting with the NFL commissioners office this week, many believe Brown could see the field as early as Week 12. The meetings, which were held to investigate the allegations made against Brown, went “as well as they could have.”

With Antonio Brown set to make a return to the NFL and the team he will sign with being the last obstacle, here are three reasons the New Orleans Saints should sign him immediately.
