Drew Brees – Dud

Today was hard to watch for Drew Brees fans. After coming back before the bye and passing for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns, everyone thought that the old Brees was back and the Saints’ train was still in tack.

Now, are Saints’ fans questioning Drew Brees? Is it time to look toward 5-0 Teddy Bridgewater going forward?

Now, that is probably premature, but the Falcons came into this game as one of the worst in the NFL and Drew did not throw a single touchdown. It was a rough outing, and coming off a bye week, we should expect more in the near future.

While he did pass for 287, the only other bright side is that he did not throw an interception. He did also take six sacks for 46 yards lost and as a team had 12 penalties for 90 yards. Brees had a season-low 5.0 yards per pass, and as a team, they had 4.9 yards per play.
