New Orleans Saints: 1 stud, 3 duds from embarrassing loss to Falcons

Tre’Quan Smith / Ted Ginn, Jr. – Double Dud
The talk of another receiver stepping up or stepping into the picture has been one of the New Orleans Saints’ weaknesses since week 1.
One would assume that since they didn’t go after a trade for a receiver at the deadline, and they didn’t put in a waiver claim for Josh Gordon that they are content with the talent they have (or think they have).
The three other receivers they have are Ted Ginn, Jr., who has been their No. 2 receiver for most of the season; Tre’Quan Smith, who is their No. 2 receiver but got hurt early in the season; and Keith Kirkwood, who has been on injured reserve.
Smith and Ginn COMBINED yesterday for ONE(!) reception and THIRTEEN yards. Our fullback had more receptions then them combined.
That is straight pitiful from Thomas’ complementary wide receivers. Good thing he is good enough to still get open. However, the question of a No. 2 receiver is still just as up in the air as it was before week 10.
