New Orleans Saints: 3 Takeaways from 2nd loss

The Saints have no No. 2 wide receiver.
Again, we are reminded that the New Orleans Saints have no clear cut wide receiver two and it is starting to cause more and more problems the longer the season continues. Michael Thomas, the Saints’ No.1 receiver, had 13 receptions for 152 yards.

The next closest wide receiver in receptions had ONE and the next closest wide receiver in yards had THIRTEEN.
This is embarrassing. After neglecting to go after one in the trade deadline and not signing Josh Gordon off the waivers, this is just another exclamation point on the need for current free agent Dez Bryant.
Tre’Quan Smith had one catch for thirteen yards, and Ted Ginn had one catch for zero catches for zero yards. Because of this lack of talent opposite Michael Thomas, teams are free to double and even triple-team the NFL MVP candidate.
