Marshon Lattimore vs Julio Jones

There’s no denying that Marshon Lattimore has had down games against receivers that aren’t necessarily the best in the league. However, when he faced the best, Lattimore typically rises to the challenge.

Against Amari Cooper, Lattimore held the star receiver to under 60 yards and without a score. How about Mike Evans who has three games of 180+ yards? He held Evans without a catch as the Saints trampled the Bucs.

Tyler Lockett and DeAndre Hopkins did light the Saints up. This will be a matchup to watch, and it’ll be arguably the most important wide receiver-corner matchup of the game. That said, Julio is among the best in the league out wide.

Jones has four 100-yard games in the Falcons eight outings. He’ll have Matt Ryan back this week, and it’ll force Lattimore to be at his best if he wants a chance at limiting the former All-Pro receiver.

At 6-foot-3, Jones has the height advantage, but we’ve seen Lattimore lockdown bigger and stronger opponents before. For the Falcons offense, they’ll have to force-feed the ball to Jones if they want a chance to win, and it’ll be directly at Lattimore.

Will he accept the challenge?
