Third-quarter predictions

My prediction for the third quarter of the season was 3-1. We play four consecutive division games (thanks NFL schedule makers…). The Black and Gold are the best team in the division without a doubt. But it’s hard to win division games.

You play guys who know you very well. The Falcons are a shell of a team right now, but that makes them even more dangerous against us. We play them twice in the next four weeks and I fully expect to win both of those.

The interesting games will be against Tampa Bay again and Carolina. Tampa Bay didn’t go away quietly and at home, they may be interesting. For Carolina, the Saints defense will have it’s hands full with Christian McCaffrey.

I feel if they simply shut down the passing game and commit to the run offensively even though Carolina has a good defense, we can win that game.

I’ll stay with my prediction of 3-1, though I am truthfully believing we should be 4-0 during that stretch.

There’s no good reason we can’t win all those. While I don’t want to see any losses, the Buccaneers would be a more acceptable loss.

Not only because they have great receivers and it would make sense, but also because Tampa Bay is not remotely going to be a playoff contender or a contender for this division.

Next. 3 reasons Dez Bryant should give the Saints a call. dark

Looking forward to the next eight weeks of Saints football and the playoff push.
