Jacksonville

The Saints went to Jacksonville with a nice head of steam.

They’d won three straight games including two against playoff teams from the previous season. Jacksonville was experiencing Minshew-mania, with rookie backup QB Gardner Minshew playing well in the place of the injured Nick Foles.

On this day against the Saints, Minshew found the going tougher. He completed only 14 passes on the day, and the offense was stymied by a stifling Saints defense.

This was a defensive battle both ways as the Saints only scored one TD. Alvin Kamara came into the game a bit injured and it was in this game we started to get a glimpse of what Latavius Murray could do for us.

Bridgewater was efficient if not prolific in this game and a fourth quarter touchdown pass to tight end Jared Cook was the difference in the game.
