The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are among the best teams in the NFC, but which is actually the conference’s best?

ESPN has just released its week 10 power rankings prior to this week’s slate of games. Not surprisingly, the undefeated 49ers sit atop the list, passing the now one-loss Pats. Down in the third position, the New Orleans Saints remain for the second week in a row.

Ever since the week 6 power rankings, the Niners and the Saints have been undoubtedly the most dominant teams in the NFC. There has been a debate about which squad has the best chance to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

After all, New Orleans has had much of their success come on the back of a backup quarterback. Now with Drew Brees back at the helm, this team is looking just as dominant as they move into an easier second half the season.

The Saints actually will end up playing the 49ers in Week 14 so either the Saints will have a second or the 49ers will not end the season undefeated. Let’s just say we will be hoping for the second one.

That, let’s see how these two squads compare on offense, defense, and special teams.
