This is another case of possibly the right place and time for a trade. Artie Burns of the Pittsburgh Steelers has fallen out of favor with the Steelers organization, and remains a bench player unless injuries happen.

Much like Eli Apple, Burns is a former first-round pick that has not lived up to expectations, and is now in the rumor mill of possible players to be shipped out prior to the trade deadline.

Burns is a former Miami Northwestern High School football star, a teammate of current New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Sometimes a familiar face can go a long way in boosting confidence in a young player.

This may be a hard sell based on Eli Apple not being the answer, and this looking like something of a replica. Consideration of a trade is an option, but picking him up in free agency after the season could be a better move.
