Capability

There aren’t many 31-year-old quarterbacks that are as good as Kap on the market. He’s a dynamic, dual-threat quarterback that’s proven his capabilities on the NFL’s highest level. It’s a shame he’s been out the league the past few seasons.

More from Who Dat Dish

However, it may not be long until he gets his next chance. Numerous teams could use a quarterback that has his resume. Kap has two seasons in which he totaled over 3,000 yards, one of which he led the 49ers to a 12-4 record.

In 2013 and 2014, the shifty. The 6-foot-4 quarterback also ran for over 500 yards. Just for comparison’s sake, Cam Newton, who used to be one of the league’s premier running quarterbacks, managed half a 1,000 yards six times.

Many QBs in their entire career don’t even get close to 500-plus yards on the ground in one season. Coupling his running and passing abilities, it’s clear that Kap was regarded as one of the league’s better quarterbacks for a reason.

He can run, he can pass, and he can play make. The only question mark is how much does a few years not in the league hurt his capabilities? That, we couldn’t answer till he potentially works out for the Saints, if it comes to that.
