A star-studded first series

It’s certainly possible that this will be the season’s first look at a bunch of New Orleans’ stars. Michael Thomas and Drew Brees, two players that weren’t on the field against Minnesota, have yet to be ruled out.

Clearly two of the best at their position in the league, there’s no real need to them to get a ton of tune-up reps. However, it’s expected that we will see both of them at some point in the preseason.

We’ve already seen superstar running back Alvin Kamara. Most of the offensive line started against the Vikings, allowing Teddy Bridgewater to thrive under center. That said, we’re really just waiting to see the dynamic duo of Brees and Thomas.

Defensively, the only real game-changer that we’ve yet to see is Marshon Lattimore. Other than Lattimore, most of the team’s defensive starters took the field for at least one drive. Expect to see them all in limited snaps again.

If Brees and Thomas do indeed take the field, we may finally get our first look at one of the league’s best offenses in full effect.
