Surprisingly, there’s only one tight end on this list. However, based on his amazing production and dominance during his few years in New Orleans, it’s well-deserved recognition for Jimmy Graham.
It’s a bit baffling how unstoppable Graham was at times during his five years with the club. It got to the point where there were disputes over whether he was actually a tight end or a wide receiver, seeing as the Saints often deployed him in the slot to take advantage of his immense talents in the passing game.
The results were mind-blowing. In three of his five seasons, Graham caught double-digit touchdowns, including a league-high 16 scores in 2013. That year culminated in his only All-Pro selection, but he still had three Pro Bowl appearances accompanying his name.
Unfortunately, disputes with the front office led to him being dealt to the Seattle Seahawks in 2015 for center Max Unger. While it was an ugly end to what appeared to be a beautiful partnership, the former Saints tight end will always be remembered for just how unique of a talent he was at the tight end spot.
