Lombardi, Carmichael, Roushar, Giunta, Glenn

But it doesn’t stop there. Joe Lombardi is with the Saints again after a couple of seasons as Detroit’s offensive coordinator. He returned two seasons ago and picked up where he left off, coaching the quarterbacks and helping Payton and current offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael come up with the offensive game plan.

Offensive line coach Dan Roushar was twice an offensive coordinator at the college level. The work he’s done with the offensive line, particularly with Andrus Peat and Ryan Ramczyk is tremendous.

Senior defensive assistant Peter Giunta was an NFL coordinator and assistant head coach with Dick Vermeil in St. Louis. He’s a defensive backs guru. But he’s not the only one. That is Dennis Allen’s specialty as well, along with secondary coach Aaron Glenn, who was a stud DB in the league. He played the large portion of his career with the Jets, ending his career here with the Black and Gold.
