Middle of the pack, 11-20

The second tier of possible playoff contenders are lumped into a whole bunch of teams that range from 5-3 to 3-5. The Buffalo Bills take the 11th spot in this section and they’re the next opponent up for the Saints.  The Bills have exceeded expectations so far this year and may give New England a run for their money in the AFC East.

On the other side, the Atlanta Falcons are certainly not completely done just yet. The Falcons have a lot of work to do with a brutal schedule that lies ahead including Dallas and Seattle the next couple of weeks.

Another team that’s gonna be in the hunt is the Detroit Lions. Surely, with Aaron Rogers being out for an extensive period, the NFC North is up for grabs. Although Minnesota may have the early lead, things could get interesting.

Another team in the AFC that might contend is the New York Jets. The Saints will get them at home later in the season. Here is my second tier of contenders:

11. Buffalo Bills
12. Jacksonville Jaguars
13. Tennessee Titans
14. Atlanta Falcons
15. Detroit Lions
16. Oakland Raiders
17. Chicago Bears
18. Washington Redskins
19. Arizona Cardinals
20. New York Jets
