Total defense

This is where the Saints have the better talent from top to bottom. The Saints are averaging 100 yards more per game on total offense. Also, the Saints’ offensive line has totally over performed this season. The line has only allowed four sacks on Drew Brees versus 18 sacks of Matthew Stafford. Additionally, the Saints have had so many injuries on the offensive line. But they have been solid in pass protection.

Presumably, the Saints should be able to move the ball down the field with ease. The weapons are endless on the Saints roster, and Stafford’s mobility may be an issue. Getting to Stafford has to be a priority. Even if it’s just hands in his face or breathing down his throat. The defensive line should be able to corrupt the rhythm of the Detroit Lions.
