Pass: Coby Fleener

There were high expectations for Fleener in his first year with the New Orleans Saints. He has great speed for a tight end and flashed the ability to be a real threat down the field in Indianapolis. The hope was he could really flourish in the Saints prolific passing attack led by Brees.

Unfortunately Fleener only managed to put up 631 yards and 3 touchdowns, 13th and 20th in the league, respectively. Pro Football focus graded Fleener at an abysmal 46.3, making him the 47th ranked tight end in the league.

Also hindering Fleener’s production is tight end Josh Hill. Hill is now healthy after recovering from a broken fibula, and is expected to split snaps with Fleener. He too has flashed some ability as a pass-catcher this preseason, though he’ll primarily be used as a blocker. Nonetheless, this means less snaps for Fleener.

Fleener is worth nothing more than a double-digit round flier.
