Loved: Cameron Jordan, 92 Overall

According to Pro Football Focus, Jordan was the 15th best player in the NFL in 2016. Not too shabby. He was able to record 7.5 sacks, 40 total tackles and 12 stuffs.

But as any football fan should know, the measure of a player’s impact cannot be solely derived from a stat sheet. Jordan was a massive disruption along the defensive front as he generated 79 total pressures in 2016 as well. For reference, that’s equal to 5x Pro Bowler and Superbowl 50 MVP, Von Miller.

At 290 pounds Jordan is much larger than typical defensive ends around the league. He wins with his power and technique. The “Madden Gods” reflected this in giving him a 92 Power Moves rating and 89 Block Shedding rating.

Jordan doesn’t usually get the credit he deserves. He’s not a flashy guy and his team’s 2016 defense was awful, which overshadowed his play. It’s at least a little satisfying to see Madden got it right.
