Welcome the third place Atlanta Falcons to the mix! The DIRTY BIRDS are gonna fall a bit from last year’s successful run all the way to the Super Bowl. Their run is proof, that the NFC is still a crapshoot as far as picking the NFC representative. Presumably, no one had the Falcons going to the Super Bowl before the kickoff in 2016.

Additionally, there was not a soul who thought the Falcons would squander a 28-3 lead too. But both did happen thankfully. The Falcons finished last year at 11-5 and won the NFC South. This is NOT gonna happen again. The schedule that the Falcons have in 2017 is brutal. In one stretch, the Falcons go on the road in four of five games. That stretch includes the Patriots and the Seahawks on the road. Also, the only home game in that stretch is the Dallas Cowboys.

The 8-8 record isn’t really a knock on Atlanta. It’s simply reality. Sometimes reality bites. And this season the Falcons are swooping downward to Earth.
