Round 3, Pick 103: Cameron Sutton, CB, Tennessee

Sutton isn’t the fastest punt-return/cornerback hybrid in the draft (4.52 40 yard dash at the combine), but he’s still one of the best. His specialty, backed by his length and film, is man-to-man and occasional bump-and-run coverages. As mentioned, the Saints will need more than just one draft pick to attain a great secondary. Sutton helps complete a base for a future top-notch cornerback depth chart.

The biggest question for selecting Sutton here is… will he even be available? Teams may pick him in the top-80, but my hope here is that he’ll fall to the Saints. I love Sutton’s coverage skills, and he would compete for the punt returner role right away. More speed on special teams and the defensive backfield would perfectly round out day two of the draft for New Orleans.
