The draft countdown clock is ticking…

The New Orleans Saints will bring some new members of the Black and Gold their way next Thursday. Presumably, the core of the picks will come on the defensive end. As it stands now, the Saints have seven draft picks that can be used at their disposal.

This draft is the most significant in the Sean Payton and Micky Loomis era. The team is looking to define themselves in 2017. The last three years are now yesterday. It’s finally time to start looking towards the 2017 season. The talent level on defense in this year’s draft could help the Saints get over that hump this year.

Be that as it may, there is still no definitive answer on who the Saints will pick at #11 or the rest of the draft. Things could change too. There’s the Malcolm Butler situation still unfolding. Additionally, a trade could happen all the way up the last minute. Who Dat Nation surely has seen it before.

Regardless, this time of year has many of teams and fan bases optimistic on the possibilities from the 2017 NFL Draft. In my opinion, here is the list that the Saints should use, for the big board for possible defensive prospects.
