Trey Hendrickson, DE

Another double dip, another defensive end.

The Saints can’t have too much competition along their defensive line, even with Hau’oli Kikaha allegedly doing well in recovery.

With the Cardinals’ fourth round pick, the Saints go after the Florida Atlantic defensive end who put together a very solid East-West Shrine week.

The Saints have a tendency to look toward the East-West Shrine for these mid-round picks, and don’t shy away from lower-profile schools. Hendrickson looked good in practices and had a solid college career.

He doesn’t have the ideal length or size for a DE, but has excellent footwork and uses his hands very well to get free from blockers. He has upside as a pass-rushing specialist, which is exactly what the Saints need from a mid-round DE prospect.
