Ty Anania’s Seven Round Mock Draft 2.0

Curtis Samuel, RB/WR
Another offensive pick for the Saints with their first pick in the third round. This time, they land an offensive weapon who should easily take the satellite back position from Travaris Cadet.
Curtis Samuel is a special talent. He’s a hybrid RB-WR who should be able to come in on third downs and create all sorts of matchup problems. Think Darren Sproles with a bit more power.
Samuel may not make it down to 76. Some mocks have him going in the second round. But with plenty of talent early on at RB, and with plenty of talented free agents still unsigned, there’s reason to believe a talent like Samuel might drop.
If he does, the Saints will come away with a steal that fits Sean Payton’s offense almost as well as McCaffrey would. And after addressing their early needs at DE and CB in the first round, they have the flexibility to spend a pick on a weapon.
