The Saints won’t have too look far to find Tanzel Smart. This last pick could be a critical one since the announcement of Nick Fairley testing the free agent market. Smart came from Baton Rouge, LA but ironically landed at Tulane University in New Orleans. The fact that Smart played 36 consecutive games is a test of guy that will show up every week.

He’s got quick hands that have been used for leverage. Although Smart is undersized, make no mistake that he can hold his own. Smart has made over 40 tackles in his career for a loss. His motor is always running too. The guy is always on the chase or actively looking to make a play.

The Saints are in need at many positions on defense. The Black and Gold will know more as the weeks move forward. Moreover, Smart will also need to impress the NFL Combine in a couple of weeks. Keep an eye out for this GREENIE.
