Cornerback

Free Agents: Stephon Gilmore – Buffalo Bills, Trumaine Johnson – Los Angeles Rams, Prince Amukamara – Jacksonville Jaguars, Captain Munnerlyn –  Minnesota Vikings, Logan Ryan – New England Patriots

Draft prospects: Marlon Humphrey – Alabama, Jalen Tabor – Florida, Adoree’ Jackson – USC, Desmond King – Iowa, Tre’Davious White – LSU, Jourdan Lewis – Michigan

The New Orleans Saints already have a really good cornerback in Delvin Breaux, but don’t be surprised if they look to add another one next year.

In free agency their are a bunch of possibilities. A guy like Stephon Gilmore would without a doubt give the Saints on of the best cornerback duos in the entire league. This group also has cheaper possibilities like Logan Ryan and Captain Munnerlyn, who would add some much needed experience and good play to the secondary.

The draft also look very strong and several guys could get picked in the top 10. If Saints have any intent on finding a good partner for Breaux there should be plenty to pick from in this draft.

A sleeper might be the Michigan product Jourdan Lewis. He’s the kind of guy you don’t see much because quarterbacks don’t throw his way. When they do, it usually end up with an incompletion.

Saints might not get a chance to pick some of the top tier talent here, but they should consider improving the secondary later on.
