Have you ever seen a wildcat in Louisiana? Me neither…Regardless, this offense could be the secret ingredient that could throw defenses off at least. Surely by now, defenses spend all week preparing for Drew Brees in the pocket to throw passes galore. Wouldn’t the Wildcat offense at least throw off the Oakland Raiders week one if the Wildcat offense was incorporated? This adaptation would have the cornerbacks guessing. The idea would be to draw in cornerbacks closer to the line of scrimmage. This setup would give Brees the luxury of picking his spots. Furthermore, this uncertainty would be great for the long ball.
