The New Orleans Saints 50 for 50 series continues: No.48, ‘Beer Man’ delivers

Lewis would end up playing seven seasons for the Saints. The ‘Beer Man’ would set an NFL record in 2002 with a Pro Bowl appearance. Lewis led the NFL with 625 punt return yards and 1,807 kickoff return yards. In his career, Lewis would play 76 games with 1,818 punt return yards and 5,989 kickoff return yards. Lewis also had a punt returned for a touchdown and three additional kickoff returns for touchdowns. If that wasn’t enough, he also caught 28 passes for 553 yards and a receiving touchdown. Lewis would eventually get inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.
