Round 4, Pick 14

I have backed off the idea that the Saints absolutely need to grab a linebacker in this draft. The main issue that needs to be addressed is generating a pass rush which the Saints began addressing in free agency.

Grabbing Jaylon Smith (reports are saying he could go between the third and fifth rounds) could be a steal if you get the playmaker that he was before his brutal injury. He still needs to improve with being more aggressive to make plays rather than just let them come to him.

The potential to get that speed and play making ability on the defense makes him well worth a fourth round pick despite him not being able to play his first year.
