It’s time to get back to mocking some players to the New Orleans Saints now that the NFL Draft is less than a month away and free agency has dialed down.

The New Orleans Saints have to focus primarily on defense in the upcoming draft.  Luckily for the Saints, this year’s defensive line group is loaded with talent and is the deepest it has been in awhile.  I expect the Saints to take full advantage of that and grab some young talented players to help build their defensive line up.

Now that the Saints have restructured Mark Ingram’s contract, it has given them some breathing room against the cap, and I’m hoping they use it to bring in a veteran guard to help fix the offensive line problems.  Either way, I would consider weakside linebacker, defensive end, guard, defensive tackle, and wide receiver the biggest needs for New Orleans.

Last year’s draft class showed a ton of potential and will hopefully grow and flourish this year.  P.J. Williams and Davis Tull never got a chance to step onto the field due to injury, but I expect them to contribute to correcting the defense from last year and adding depth at some much needed positions.

I would prefer New Orleans to trade back with someone in the first round and gain an extra pick, but it’s hard to figure out who would be willing to trade, so I just kept the Saints at the spots they’re at now. Let’s begin…
