New Orleans Saints Mock Draft: Black and Gold Reloaded

Round 7, Pick 205
I know what you’re thinking — why would the New Orleans Saints pick two receivers in this draft? I was thinking the same thing, but when I was trying to figure out a player to pick in the seventh round, I was contemplating between a corner, tight end, or another defensive lineman, and then I decided to take the best player available.
Mike Thomas was the most talented player who I thought would be there for the Saints. He is one of my favorite players in this draft. He doesn’t take plays off and always does his job. He seems to me to be an all around good receiver. His body control, speed, hands, and willingness to block are all great qualities. He needs to get better at route running and would have to work on his special teams play.
Not many people have been talking about him and I’m not really sure why. He wasn’t invited to the combine and I haven’t seen him on many mock drafts, but after his pro day, I’d expect to start hearing his name more and more as the draft gets closer.
I wouldn’t mind if the New Orleans Saints took him with their fifth-round pick. He is 6-foot-1, 186 pounds and had 1,391 yards and 14 touchdowns this past year. He has nice speed and would be a great addition to the Saints offense.
