Round 2, Pick 47

Kenny Clark is one of those players who has first-round talent but could be pushed back into the second round because of how deep the defensive tackle position is in this draft.

Clark is a beast when it comes to run defense and is actually pretty quick for a big man.  He played multiple positions on the defensive line for UCLA, which is always a plus in any coach’s mind.  I would expect him to play mainly tackle for the New Orleans Saints.

Clark was also a high school wrestling champion and uses some of his technique from that on the defensive line.  One of Clark’s best attributes is his strength. A lot of times you see him just use his strength to push players back and plug up different gaps, which is why he is such a good run stuffer.  He needs to get better at pass rushing, but a great run defender would help the New Orleans Saints’ defense out tremendously.
