Robert Ayers

Call it a major coincidence that two Giants appear on this list, but Robert Ayers could find himself being courted by several teams during the course of free agency. Ayers, who turns 31 in September, reportedly wants a deal for around $6 million annually. After all, he’s coming off a career high in sacks (9.0) in just 12 games played.

The Saints desperately need an edge rusher, and have alluded to the fact that they’ll possibly look for one in free agency. Ayers is a 4-3 defensive end, and was arguably the Giants best pass rusher last season. He was the only player on the team to hit double-digit quarterback hits (13), and was second on the defense with 25 quarterback pressures.
