The New Orleans Saints have some areas to address this offseason, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.  But adding another wide receiver wouldn’t do any harm.

Aside from pro days and other workouts, players from the incoming rookie class have one more giant opportunity to impress NFL coaches and scouts before draft day arrives at the end of April.  The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine will be held Feb. 23-29 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

In a class loaded to the brim with intriguing talent from round one to the seventh and final round, the New Orleans Saints will have a chance to make the proper upgrades and/or depth adjustments needed to get the once-feared organization back on a winning track.  They’ve turned in three losing seasons in the last four years.

The scouting combine is the perfect place to both evaluate talent on the field and analyze players from a personal perspective to get a good measure of character before teams take a gamble during the selection process.

For the New Orleans Saints, loading up on both talent and character is ideal.  Head coach Sean Payton and company will be looking to repeat their success after hitting in the 2015 NFL Draft.  They’ll have their chance to evaluate players from every position in accordance to the combine schedule.

2016 NFL Scouting Combine Workout Schedule:

Friday, Feb. 26 – Running backs, offensive line, special teams
Saturday, Feb. 27 – Quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends
Sunday, Feb. 28 – Defensive line, linebackers
Monday, Feb. 29 – Defensive backs

We’ve already taken a look at some of the defensive linemen and linebackers to keep an eye on, so, today, we name several wide receivers who could be of service to the New Orleans Saints., if they plan on going that route in the upcoming draft.
