Nigel Bradham

I know, I know. Another Buffalo Bills free agent? That hasn’t exactly panned out for the New Orleans Saints with C.J. Spiller and Jairus Byrd. However, Nigel Bradham is worth a look. The impending free agent linebacker had a very down season in 2015, but was a rising star for the Bills before that. An ankle injury forced Bradham to miss the last 5 games, and the Bills defense wasn’t the same without him in the mix.

So, why look at Bradham? He’s one of the select few 4-3 outside linebackers available in free agency that is of value. Most salivate over Danny Trevathan, but it’s had to suggest that he isn’t for a large payday. Bradham can play both the strong side and weak side, which is a major reason for bringing him in to New Orleans.

Bradham knows what’s at stake if he were to return to Buffalo, telling The Buffalo News, “If I have to do another year to prove it,” Bradham said, “it’s not a big deal. If it is, it is, if that’s how they feel. I’ve been in the league four years now. I should have enough out there.”

Landing Bradham on a one or two-year deal could ultimately help the Saints in a lot of ways.
