Target: Cody Whitehair
School: Kansas State
Position: Guard
Size: 6-foot-3, 300 LBS
Projected Round: 1-2

Guards don’t typically get drafted too high, but Whitehair is arguably the best among the incoming rookie clas.  There’s a chance he goes in the first round, but if he’s available in the second for the New Orleans Saints, it’ll be tough to pass — he should become a generous payoff very quickly.

With excellent athleticism (experience at tackle), toughness and power up front in the trenches, Whitehair has the ability to excel in the NFL immediately.  Again with question marks surrounding the consistency of left guard Tim Lelito and the future of right guard Jahri Evans, the Saints could without question use Whitehair’s talents on the offensive line.

He was a four-year starter and team captain in 2015 at K-State.  His hard work, relentless motor, and leadership qualities would be an ideal fit for the Black and Gold both on the field and in the locker room.
