Target: Jarran Reed
School: Alabama
Position: DT
Size: 6-foot-3, 311 LBS
Projected Round: 1

Reed doesn’t project as high as Robinson, but he could be a better fit for the New Orleans Saints.  Again, they have gaping holes all over their roster, including the defensive line.  Reed could fix that immediately.

He brings superb size and power to the defensive front, eating up blockers and dominating at the point of attack.  In 13 games (SEC Championship included) this season, his senior year with Crimson Tide,  Reed was responsible for 53 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, two passes defended and a sack.

He’s also an impressive specimen on film. The Saints, unfortunately, have been plagued with mediocrity at the defensive tackle position for too long.  Reed is the type of talent to end that misery.  If other players are off the board at No. 12, he’s somebody to consider.
