All of the New Orleans Saints’ tight ends on the active roster are set to become unrestricted free agents.  After having the best season of his career, Benjamin Watson’s future is in question, although, re-signing him for another year or two at a reasonable price would be a smart choice since the incoming rookie class is scarce at the position.

Whether or not Watson is re-signed, Green is an excellent tight end who is waiting to break out.  Unfortuntaley, since entering the lague out of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2012, he has been overshadowed by one of the best to ever play the position — Antonio Gates.  But Green shined when he was given the chance in the absence of Gates, who is also set to become a free agent.

For the Saints, red zone scoring isn’t what it once was, but the 6-foot-6, 240-pound overpowering and athletic Ladarius Green could come in and immediately improve the offense in that department.  If placed in a starting role for a high-powered offense like New Orleans, Green has the skillset to shine.
