New Orleans Saints 2015 Year in Review: Terron Armstead

Terron Armstead also shows us how important communication is, as he’ll protect Luke McCown from a delayed corner blitz here.
Pre-snap look after the assignments and communication have been established.
Armstead engages his defender, and Tim Lelito picks up the defender so that Armstead can get the blitzer.
Armstead squares up the blitzer, keeping his feet and stance perfectly square forcing his defender to go to the outside.
Armstead gets him right where he wants him, which allows McCown to connect.
The common theme is that the New Orleans Saints struck gold by selecting Terron Armstead as their 3rd round pick in 2013. Although it took him nearly a whole season to get the opportunity to start, he has made the absolute most of it. There’s little to no doubt that Armstead, who enters a contract year with the team, is in for a hefty payday for keeping the team’s blind side nearly flawless.
Arguably, if you could only center the team’s franchise around a total of 5 players, Armstead would have to be in the mix.
