Late-round weapons to eye for the New Orleans Saints in the 2016 NFL Draft

By Jake White

Tajae Sharpe, WR, UMass
Tajae Sharpe is another big-bodied receiver coming in at 6-foot-2, 188 pounds out of the University of Massachusetts. He doesn’t get a lot of recognition because of where he plays, but he has been very reliable at UMass, Victor Cruz’s alma mater.
He’s not the fastest receiver, but he runs nice routes and isn’t afraid to go up for a jump ball. He is a two-time first team ALL-MAC player and holds the record for most receptions in a season for UMass with 111 and the most yards with 3,486.
One of the knocks on him coming out of the East/West Shrine game is that he has small hands, which most likely will push his stock down some. Expect Sharpe to go in the fourth or fifth round.
