Late-round weapons to eye for the New Orleans Saints in the 2016 NFL Draft

By Jake White

Rashard Higgins, WR, Colorado State
A third or fourth-round pick who Garrett Grayson knows very well is Rashard Higgins out of Colorado State. This 6-foot-2, 188-pound receiver was Grayson’s number one target in 2014, as the two dominated together as a dangerous duo in the Mountain West.
Higgins finished with 1750 yards and 17 touchdowns that season. Those numbers alone show you that he has talent. That year, he played in a pro-style offense and showed he could run the route tree.
Aside from being from a small school, which doesn’t matter if you’ve got talent, Higgins is a bit lean. Expect him to put on some pounds coming into to the combine, that way he can handle the physicality of the NFL.
