The New Orleans Saints will use the 2016 NFL Draft to fill some voids at several positions, but picking a wide receiver should wait until the later rounds.

The NFL draft is just over three months away. The New Orleans Saints have many voids to fill at several positions, with wide receiver being one. However, going receiver in the first or second round could be a mistake because of how bad the Saints’ defense has been.

Some fans think Drew Brees needs a big target that he can go to, which is understandable, but there is a way to help the defense and still get him an additional weapon. Sure, Laquon Treadwell or Josh Doctson are very good players and would help the Saints’ offense tremendously, but it is not the position New Orleans needs to go with early in the draft.

However, there are some solid receivers that standout and could still be available between the third and seventh rounds. With that said, here are some players New Orleans Saints fans should keep an eye on.
