The 2015 NFL regular season is finally over and it wasn’t exactly what the New Orleans Saints and their fans were hoping for — missing the playoffs is no fun.  But there have been some bright spots for fans to look forward to in the upcoming years.  Young players like linebackers Stephone Anthony and Hau’oli Kikaha, cornerback Delvin Breaux, and wide receiver Willie Snead all look promising for the future of the organization.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks emerged in his second year and Kenny Vaccaro rebounded from his 2014 sophomore slump.  That being said, the defense is still struggling and making almost every opposing quarterback look like Tom Brady.  Seriously though.  The Saints allowed an NFL-history worst 45 passing touchdowns in 2015.  They also allowed an average passer rating of 116.2.  You can just call that embarrassing.

It is extremely important for the New Orleans Saints to draft well this year and improve on that side of the ball. Expect the Saints to key in on defensive players with their early picks in the 2016 NFL Draft.

So, even though the selection process is still over three months away, here is an early New Orleans Saints mock draft.

(Note: The Saints are currently without a sixth-round pick.)
