With the 12th Pick: 10 New Orleans Saints first-round NFL Draft prospects

Laquon Treadwell, WR, Miss
Treadwell is the best wide receiver in this draft, hands down. With ideal size, speed, and hands, he could be the answer for the Saints on the outside opposite Brandin Cooks. It’s unfortunate, but Marques Colston may have played his last game in New Orleans, which means the Black and Gold could be searching early on for a big man and a true No. 1 wideout.
Imagine a corps comprised of Treadwell and Cooks on the outside and Willie Snead in the slot. Imagine what Drew Brees could do with that. It would also leave a solid foundation in place for whomever ends up taking over quarterback duties when Brees is finally done.
While the New Orleans Saints do have other areas to address before adding another wide receiver, it would be difficult to pass Treadwell up if he falls, especially if he’s the team’s best available at No. 12.
