Saints Injury Report: Willie Snead returns to practice Wednesday

Willie Snead highlights the New Orleans Saints first injury report of the week ahead of Sunday’s meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The wide receiver returned to practice after missing last game.

The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have both released their first injury reports of the week.  The two go head-to-head this weekend in an NFC South showdown — it’s a must win for each team.  While the Bucs (6-6) are fighting for a playoff berth, New Orleans (4-8) is too, as they are not yet mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.  But that’s wishful thinking — the Saints’ season is a disaster, and chances are slim to none.

The good news is Willie Snead returned to practice.  We’ll continue to monitor him as well as everybody else as the week progresses, especially Delvin Breaux and Terron Armstead.  The bad news is running back Mark Ingram has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, which basically sums up the Saints’ frustrating season.  All we can do is hope for a healthy and speedy recovery for Ingram.  The Buccaneers host the Saints on Sunday at noon CST.
