Saints Injury Report: Dannell Ellerbe remains out Thursday, concerns grow

The New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins have both released their second injury reports of the week ahead of this weekend’s contest in our nation’s capital.  A concern is growing for Saints linebacker Dannell Ellerbe after he sat out of practice again on Thursday.  He looks to be on pace to miss his third-straight game and sixth of the season.

After enjoying a veterans day off, Colston, Williams and Evans all returned to action.  Kikaha remained limited after missing last week’s game, hoping to return against Washington.  It also sounds like Swann is expected to remain on concussion protocol and sit out again on Sunday.  Snead didn’t practice, but it sounds like the Saints are just trying to keep that knee 100%.

We’ll continue to monitor the rest of the Saints players heading into this weekend’s contest with the Redskins, especially Dannell Ellerbe, who when healthy, has been a key contributor on the defensive side of the ball.  It was his hip that ended his season just one game into the year in 2014 with Miami. New Orleans and Washington collide Sunday at 1:00 PM EST/12:00 CST.
